On 2nd July 2003 at 9.15pm, Chesney's Wife, Krissy gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Jesse Fonseca Hawkes. She is now home and happy with her mummy & daddy and her big brother Casey. Watch out for the update from Chesney on the site very soon!!!

I just realized that I forgot all about Ches' birthday, but thankfully his fans on the message board didn't. Cheers to you folks on the board who wished him well.

We are having a World cup/Jubilee/Back to roots Party at the King's Head in Fulham on Saturday the 1st of June. All the good people you could ever wish to spend an evening with...We'll be playing and I'll drag up anyone that's up for a song (I know my dad's getting up!) It'll be like a walk down 'ebb' lane.

I just recieved an update on the gigs so please check them to make sure the ones you were planning on attending haven't changed. There are quite a few more planned, but they haven't been confirmed yet and I only post ones that are confirmed.

I found out from Neil that you couldn't see any of the pictures in the Rogues gallery when using Netscape 4.7x. I've fixed the problem, and would ask that anyone having any problems at all with the site please let me know. I can't always find all the problems so if each one of you let me know about problems, it will improve the site for everyone. Thanks for your continued support of Ches and his music.

I just compiled the list of questions as they were submitted since some of them were essentially the same question. Ches on the Radio

Ches will be on the Jonathan Ross show on Radio 2 this Saturday (19 January) between 10am and 1pm. This will help Ches get some more publicity so it wouldn't be a bad idea to let friends know about it so they can hear more about Ches and his new single.

Just got an update for the gigs page. They're a little sketchy at this point, so make sure you verify them before making any definite plans.

As you probably already know by now, 'Stay Away Baby Jane' came in at number 74 this week. Not quite what we had hoped for, but as I've said in the past, this is the first of a 3 or 4 single schedule from the album. I'm actually quite excited to see my name anywhere in the charts! Thank you so much for all your support on this record, and for those of you that haven't yet got it, I'm sure you'll still be able to find copies this week. We've already started work on the follow up single and we'll let you know more about it soon! Thanks again for buying 'SABJ'.

As many of you may know, ARC just received the mid-week placing. They are a little disappointed with the results and need more sales to get into the top 40. So, if you have ever claimed that you are a fan of Chesney Hawkes, this is the time to prove it. All you have to do is buy a few copies of Baby Jane by this Saturday. Even if you've already bought some, buy some more to give away to friends (and create even more fans in the process). If you do it by this Saturday, it will help get Ches higher in the charts, so please don't put it off. Thanks for everything guys - let's get Ches into the top 40!

At last the wait is over! Chesney's new single 'Stay away baby jane' is released on 31st December. It will be available on CD in any of your local record shops but, as demand is expected to be high, to make sure you are not disappointed go and order your copy this week. Any problems ordering it let us know and we'll try and fix it at this end.

As most of you will know Chesney has been gigging pretty intensely since way back in February. The early gigs went so well that the word spread like wildfire and he is now close to completing his 60th date. In between gigs Chesney has been fitting in many requests for TV appearances to promote the single. Another 6 TV appearances are to be announced closer to release, so watch this space! You may have caught him in The Sun, The News Of The World and Heat magazine. Look out for him in Best, The Mirror magazine & The Daily Star closer to release.

Thanks for all your support to date, especially those of you who have come out to see Chesney live. I know that he's been overwhelmed by the response and is looking forward to seeing you again as he continues to tour in the new year. Now it's up to you, the real fans. Go and buy the single and let's see Chesney back on Top of The Pops where he belongs.

Here's an update from Geri from ARC Records:

London Tonight is going out on 18th Nov. I'm not sure of the exact time but it will be between 5-7pm. Just as an update, Ches played two great gigs over the last week. Cambridge Star FM last week attracted over 30,000 and Chesney went down a storm. He also performed in front of over 12,000 yesterday in Wrexham.

The gig in Stoke on Wed 28th Nov was cancelled but another was added on 26th Jan at Nottingham University.

The release date for the new single has been delayed again to December 31st, but along with that information I would like to refer you to a much appreciated explanation from Brian Wade. Ches asked him to share with us, the fans, why things are going the way they are. This is something he didn't have to do and I for one feel complemented that he would take the time to let us know what is going on. We're all hoping that this turns into a big success and from the explanation I can see that ARC Records is really looking out for Ches' best interests so let's show our support for Ches and buy 20 albums a piece when it gets released :)

Ches is keeping busy. The latest update is that he will be interviewed live on BBC Breakfast News next Monday 5th November at 8.40 a.m. They will be including live footage and his video. He will also be performing 4 songs at Midsummer Common in Cambridge at 8.00 p.m. on Monday for Star FM radio's firework night. London Tonight will be aired sometime next week.

The gig on the 22nd of November in Middlesbough has been cancelled, but one has been added for Dec. 14th. The release date has also been changed to November 19th and I've been told it's pretty definite.

Chesney did a DJ takeover for Capital Gold which is going to go out on 23rd, tomorrow, at 6pm for an hour. He will be playing 'One and Only' and 'Baby Jane' as well as songs that mean something to him. This will go out throughout London and many cities throughout the UK.

In case you haven't noticed, the Photos and Rogues pages have been turned into thumbnail indexes. I've been meaning to do this for quite some time and have just now gotten around to it. I think this will do for now, although I'd like to improve it even more my time is lacking. Let me know if there are any problems that you see. Also, if you can identify the people in the photos, let me know the name of the image and who is in it.

I'm beginning to think the release may be perpetually a few weeks away. It has now been changed to 12 November, but that is subject to change. How about we all just plan on it coming out before the New Year and then we won't be disappointed again :)

It looks like Ches and his PR work is starting to take shape. He just heard that CDUK - world pop news segment (A Saturday morning TV show on ITV) will be showing the video tomorrow. Also, things are going really well with the ILR stations (Independent Local Radio) and there's a little piece in Heat magazine this week. Don't forget to keep your eye on VH1. He also did an interview with IRN yesturday (Independent Radio News) that has gone to 250 radio stations in the country!

At long last we now have a date to look forward to. On October 8th Ches' new single Stay Away Baby Jane will be released and VH1 (in the UK) will be playing it towards the end of next week, so keep your eyes and ears open. Hold on tight everyone, Ches is back in town!

Ches and Kristina have just had a little boy on the 29th of August at 8:29pm. His name is Casey George Hawkes, weighing in at 7 pounds 11 ounces. He is home, healthy and happy. They both feel very blessed and very tired! Congrats!

I have some work that I'd like to get done on the site, like thumbnail pages for all the pictures on the site and more fan information, but I just haven't had time. I would also like to make the navigation a little easier (that's why I put the new poll up) so if you have any suggestions, speak now before I rework it or forever hold your peace :)

The first official chat session took place today at 7pm (British time) and it was a lot of fun. I got to know a lot of the fans and Ches answered lots of questions. A few bits of information from the chat are that the single looks like it will be released in October in England which is exciting. Ches really enjoyed getting a chance to talk to the fans and we're looking forward to the next session (I'll let you know when it is when I know). I also got some ideas of things to add to the site and I always appreciate ideas for improvement.

Ches has been keeping busy with Gigs and it sounds like things are going well. Here is an update directly from him:

The gigs have been so much fun. We've been playing in Student unions and night clubs up and down the country for the last 2 months now, playing on average to about 1500 people a night. It has been a blast. We have all been so overwhelmed by the response from the crowds. It started with just Me on Guitar and Stuee (Stuart Ross) on Bass, then my brother, Jodie decided to join us on drums. Now I'm playing most gigs with a four piece band. Chris (Chris Leonard) has joined us on guitar. At this rate, we'll be playing with an orchestra by the end of the year!

If everything goes to plan, I will be finishing the album soon. My producer, Charlton Pettus, is coming to the UK to record the rest of the tracks with me in a few weeks time...Still no release date, but we are getting closer. I'm sure it will be out by the time I'm drawing my pension!

I just added the lyrics to Friends and Lovers which is on the What's Wrong With This Picture and Black or White People albums. There are two parts I'm still not sure about, so let me know if you know what they are. There is also some whispering in the beginning and I can't make out anything after the first two lines. There are only two more songs that I know of that I don't have lyrics for. They are on the album Missing You Already, and since I don't have the album, I can't type up the lyrics. If you have them, please send them in.

I just got word from ARC Records that XFM in London might give 'Baby Jane' a play next week on Tim Lovejay's show Studio 68 which goes out Tuesday and Wednesday. Try and listen and if you're in London and don't hesitate to give a call to show your interest. This will help to get XFM to support the single when it comes out. Let's help to get 'Baby Jane' topping the charts!

No news yet on the new gigs, but as soon as I get any information, I'll post it here.

You may ask, "Then why are you making a news entry when you really have no news?" The real reason for posting is that I got a biography of Ches from ARC Records which does an excellent job of explaining how Ches has gotten to where he is today and the history of his career. It makes for a great read and shows just how much Ches has done in the past 10 years.

I had the opportunity to speak with Ches on the phone, as well as Gerry Perry from ARC Records. It was great to have a chance to visit with them and hear how things are going. As far as news, it sounds like things are going well and there will be more gigs coming up - as soon as I hear about them, I'll let you know of course.

I think this news format will be easier to read, and with the news archive you can check past news items. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
