During the entire nineties, out of approximately 50,000 releases, only 13 of these spent more than 5 weeks at No.1. The other seven that make up the Top Twenty for the entire decade, all of which spent exactly 5 weeks at No.1 include the Fugees (Killing Me Softly), Cher (It's In His Kiss), Elton John (Sacrifice/Healing Hands), Queen (Bohemian Rhapsody/These Are The Days Of Our Lives) and an 19 year old Chesney Hawkes with a song called 'The One and Only'. This made Chesney's record the twentieth most successful release of the entire decade. |
